Joe Stampone’s good friend Bill Zamulinsky participated in this ground-breaking event, paddling 28 miles from Wall Street to Battery Park City. Joe contributed to Bill’s fundraising efforts in honor of a close friend. All told, SEA Paddle NYC raised thousands of dollars to benefit individuals and families dealing with autism.

Stampone Law Wins $2 Million Product Liability Verdict

Bucks County – Our client, a minor, received a settlement award as a result of injuries sustained due to the alleged failure of a lock-out mechanism on a top load washing machine which allowed the minor to fall into the drum during the spin cycle.

Six Figure Construction Accidents Verdicts & Settlements

A commercial property owner sustained water damage to his property as a result of heavy rains which caused the sewer lines to back up. The client’s property was inundated with raw sewage and water which caused significant damage to multiuse commercial/industrial property. The insurance company claimed that there was no coverage for this type of loss under the policy due to the fact that this was not a flood insurance policy; and because there were more than one source of water, i.e., the back up of drains and sewers as well as surface water.

$500,000 Medical Malpractice Verdicts and Settlements

Philadelphia County – Our client, an immigrant of South America who was in the U.S. without government authority, received a settlement of $500,000.00 as a result of a heart attack which occurred in the Emergency Room of a Philadelphia hospital. The plaintiff had gone to the emergency room with complaints of chest pain, but was forced to wait an inordinate amount of time resulting in his death in the Emergency Room waiting room before being seen by a physician.

$600,000+ Workers’ Compensation Verdicts & Settlements

After extensive litigation with testimony from a pathologist and neuromuscular specialist, our client received an award for a work related intra-cranial multiple infarct (3-strokes). Our client is now a quadriplegic who is confined to a wheelchair and hospital bed; he is unable to feed, dress, bathe and attend to his personal hygiene. Value of the indemnity over his life expectancy of 35 years exceeds $600,000; his medical care and treatment is approximated at $3 million dollars.

$1 Million Premises Liability Verdicts & Settlements

Elevator accident – Philadelphia County – Our client, a registered nurse, received a settlement award of $1 million when she was injured while a passenger on a hospital elevator which suddenly and without warning dropped numerous floors by way of a “freefall”. Injuries included polyneuropathy and multiple disc herniations.
